Tamikia Y. Jones

Tamikia Y. Jones, a licensed Real Estate Agent, is a native of Houston (TX), and is currently Managing Director of The Grove of Baton Rouge, LLC a Property Management and Development Company. The Grove currently owns and manages a portfolio of residential and commercial properties in Baton Rouge and New Roads. She is also Project Manager for Gemini Real Estate, Inc., a family-owned real estate development, property management, and consulting company. Gemini currently owns and manages a portfolio of single, multi-family, and commercial properties valued over $50 million.  Tamikia entered the United States Army in 1999 and served 5 years as Personnel Information
System Manager. After completing her military service in 2004, Tamikia joined her father in the family business. Her responsibilities include working closely with Louisiana Housing Corporation, financial institutions and housing subsidiary programs like Section 8, Disaster Housing Assistance Program (DHAP), and Office of Community Development (OCD), operations manager, supervising, leasing, collection, budget and compliance, payroll, project accounting, investor reporting and purchasing.  In 2011 Tamikia co-developed and lead initial lease-up of three (3) multi-family properties in Louisiana: Highland Town Homes (New Roads), Madison Pointe Subdivision (Tallulah) and Southern Place Apartments (Ville Platte).  Tamikia received her Bachelor of Science degree in English with a minor in Spanish from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge in 2008. In 2007 served as President of Baton Rouge Council on Human Relations. She received the Housing Credit Compliance Professional (HCCP) designation in 2012. She is an avid runner and is involved in the local community as a Member of Junior League of Baton Rouge.  Tamikia has two daughters, Tanzanea (20), Kaneisha (29), and one granddaughter Sevyn (3).
